Job Description

As an NPI Engineer at NTS Eindhoven, you industrialise customer designs into scalable, cost-efficient, and first-time-right production processes. You work in a low-volume, high-complexity environment for customers in the semiconductor, opto-mechatronic, and analytical industry, where quality and manufacturability go hand in hand.

You take ownership of the entire NPI process: from proof-of-principle to a controlled handover to the production floor. Projects have an average duration of 1.5 to 2.5 years, during which you lead the technical and process aspects and report to the NPI Project Manager.

You are part of a close-knit team of 8 NPI Engineers and collaborate closely with colleagues from Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations. Additionally, you regularly coordinate with international suppliers on manufacturability and quality assurance, acting as a strong and convincing partner.

Responsibilities

• Industrialising customer designs by translating specifications into manufacturable, cost-efficient concepts and defining the complete product and process flow
• Designing the serial production process: layout, tooling, qualification strategies, ERP configurations, quality controls, and work instructions
• Facilitating process validation through Design/Process FMEA, SPC studies, and 8D problem-solving for a zero-defect introduction
• Monitoring costs, quality, delivery reliability, and risks throughout the entire NPI process
• Coordinating with international suppliers on manufacturability, lead times, and quality assurance

Requirements

We are looking for a technically strong and project management skilled NPI Engineer with the following background:

• Completed HBO or WO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar
• Demonstrable experience with NPI and industrialization processes, preferably in a high-tech production environment
• Knowledge of assembly and production processes, tooling, test equipment, and qualification methods such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D
• Strong personality with persuasiveness, project management skills, and a keen eye for costs and risks
• Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken, due to international collaboration and technical communication

• Salary ranging from €4,800 to €5,800 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications
• Over 40 days off: 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days with a full-time position
