Value Stream Leader – Molding & Decoration (Philips Drachten)

Role Overview

Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in injection molding and a passion for operational excellence? Philips Drachten is seeking a Value Stream Lead for Molding & Decoration—a pivotal position driving the management of end-to-end production within our advanced molding and decoration departments. In this role, you will be empowered to shape a high-performing and inclusive environment, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality products for our customers. You will model best practices in LEAN and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), inspiring your teams through hands-on leadership, open communication, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

As the Value Stream Lead, you will oversee the daily operations of the molding and decoration value stream, with a specific focus on injection molding excellence. Your responsibilities will include striving for optimal workflow and resource utilization, fostering a culture where safety, quality, and personal accountability are prioritized at every level. You will champion the implementation and role modeling of LEAN and TPM methodologies, engaging your team to identify and eliminate waste, enhance process performance, and sustain world-class quality standards.

You will lead by example—guiding, coaching, and mentoring a diverse group of talented professionals. Your leadership style will encourage collaboration, innovation, and inclusion. You will ensure compliance with company and industry standards while partnering closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, maintenance, supply chain, quality assurance, research & development, and product management. Together, you will enable seamless product launches, robust process changes, and continuous improvement projects. Data-driven decision-making will be central to your approach, as you set and monitor key performance indicators around productivity, equipment effectiveness, and quality—transparently communicating progress to both your team and senior leadership.

Required Experience

You bring a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, along with significant experience in injection molding and related manufacturing environments. Your career has demonstrated your ability to lead and develop teams, implement TPM practices, and drive measurable operational improvements. You are comfortable navigating complex production settings and have a proven record of fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and empowerment.

Skills & Attributes

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is a collaborative, open-minded approach to leadership. Your high level of initiative, strategic thinking, and ability to build trust across all levels of the organization will set you apart.
