By ensuring bol becomes and remains a fully compliant financial service provider – even when cases get complicated. As a mid-level CDD Analyst, you handle more complex CDD cases including transaction monitoring alerts and investigations as part of ongoing due diligence. Think international partners (EU and non-EU), high-risk cases, and Event Driven Reviews. You draw connections between information in Duna, public sources, and internal systems, detect unusual patterns, and translate insights into mitigating actions. In doing so, you protect 13.7 million customers and 47,000 partners against financial economic crime, while ensuring bol’s licensed entities comply with DNB, AFM, and FSMA regulations.
Assessing complex risks, including the investigation of transaction monitoring alerts and behavioral anomalies, and conducting investigations autonomously. You liaise with New Business Developers to gather the necessary information from international partners. That requires a talent for formulating targeted questions and engaging colleagues. For example, in the event of adverse news, sanctions hits, or unusual transaction patterns, you liaise directly with Compliance. You conduct integrated risk assessments, have the confidence to determine when a case file is sufficiently complete, and know how to mitigate risks proportionally.
You’ll work within the CDD team that performs Client Due Diligence for bol’s financial services (bfs). You’ll report to the Manager of CDD Operations and work closely with junior and senior analysts, Quality Reviewers, and Compliance.
In this role, you’ll manage cases that require considerable expertise. You’ll analyze international partners from EU and non-EU regions (think China, Hong Kong, the UK), conduct Event Driven Reviews, investigate transaction monitoring alerts, and assess high-risk cases. You’ll draw connections between data from Duna, transaction flows, internal systems, and external sources, recognize patterns, and share those insights within the team. You’ll proactively engage with NBD colleagues and with Compliance in the event of escalations. You’ll also train junior colleagues how to do their job, answer their questions, and share patterns and insights in team knowledge sessions. You are both a subject-matter expert and an informal go-to person. Your key responsibilities:
You combine approximately 5 years of CDD experience with the ability to manage complex cases autonomously. You know the Wwft, understand risk, and know when to escalate. You have a keen analytical mind and easily draw connections between diverse data sources, including transactional behavior. Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring and alert handling is required, as this role combines customer due diligence with ongoing monitoring responsibilities. You recognize patterns where others see only noise. You formulate sharp questions and collaborate effectively to obtain the information you need. You also enjoy sharing knowledge and insights, including with less experienced colleagues. Experience with international partners or in a licensed environment is welcome!
To hit the ground running, it’s important that you already have transaction monitoring experience. And if your fortune cookie also contains Chinese (Mandarin) language skills, even better!
