Accounts Payable Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team in Brazil. The role focuses on end‑to‑end AP activities, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and compliance with Brazilian tax and accounting requirements. You will work closely with local and international stakeholders and support quarterly closing activities.

Your role

• Process and review supplier invoices in SAP (PO and non‑PO)
• Ensure correct application of Brazilian taxes and withholdings on invoices
• Perform supplier account reconciliations and follow up on open items
• Prepare and execute vendor payments according to payment terms
• Book and reconcile bank statements
• Support quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities related to Accounts Payable
• Act as first point of contact for supplier and internal AP‑related queries
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and local legislation
• Provide support for local reporting requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AP processes and systems

What we expect from you

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5-10 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting
• Solid knowledge of Brazilian AP processes and local taxes
• Practical experience with SAP
• Proficient in Excel
• Portuguese: Fluent
• English: upper-intermediate (B2) or higher
