About the Role

As Finance Manager, you are responsible for the financial foundation of the organization, both administration and budget. You execute the administration, deliver reliable reports, budgets, and analyses, and you translate financial data into clear insights for the management and shareholders. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and support strategic decisions with data-driven insights. You’ll also design and continuously optimize finance processes. You are proactive, analytical, and result oriented. You identify risks and opportunities and take ownership of both operational and strategic financial matters, in close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. You report into the COO.

What will you do?

  • You are responsible for our financial operations, you will manage AP, AR, bank and the finance mailbox, ensuring a timely and accurate financial administration
  • You are the go-to person for all internal finance-related questions and will work closely with our People Specialist co-managing the salary administration
  • You will oversee and manage the budget and will be a supportive partner for budget holders.
  • You work closely with our accountants, banks, and other external stakeholders
  • You manage the consolidated month-end closing and prepare management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • You monitor cash flow, create forecasts, and proactively identify financial risks
  • You work closely with the COO and fractional CFO on performance insights, reporting, and continuous improvements and initiatives

What will you achieve in your first 12 months?

  • Finance will operate efficiently and reliably, resulting in accurate and timely consolidated monthly financial reporting
  • You will have contributed to our international expansion by helping establish new entities abroad
  • You will provide insights that support strategic business decisions
  • You will have positioned yourself as a trusted and collaborative sparring partner to the management team

About You

You are able to work in a structured way in a changing environment. You’re open to other perspectives and act as the financial conscience of the organization.

  • At least 3 years of experience in performing the financial administration (AP, AR/ bank/ mailbox)
  • You have experience in a (small) consolidated group structure
  • Experience in the Dutch finance landscape, and the ability to work comfortably with Dutch financial documentation and processes
  • Hands-on and confident in your expertise, translating finance-related topics to non-financial stakeholders while supporting accurate administration and budgeting.
  • Reflects on current processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements practical solutions.
