What are you going to do?

We're building a smart, scalable pipeline that helps dairy farmers manage their operations through computer vision solutions. From edge devices deployed on-site to intelligent processing in the cloud, we turn raw sensor and camera data into insights, allowing farmers to run their farms efficiently and ensure animal wellbeing.

In this role, you'll be right in the middle of it all: designing and building the data flows that power our solution, from capturing data at the edge, processing and storing it in the cloud, to making it accessible to the end user. You’ll work closely with ML/CV engineers to ensure data flows are efficient, resilient, and traceable. With your team, you’ll build Minimum Viable Products that are used by our customers.

Your responsibilities

Data pipelines

Design and build robust pipelines for real-time and batch processing across edge and cloud environments.

Data ingestion

Maintain reliable data flows from cameras and embedded sensors for training and inference.

ML deployment

Collaborate with ML engineers to productionize models and deploy them on the edge.

Your team

You will join our Expansion team, a dedicated team of market experts and technical specialists (Computer Vision, Data Engineering/Science) who create and validate fundamentally new concepts that complement our current solution portfolio. The team is defined by a fail-fast and validation-driven approach.

What's in it for you?

At Nedap, you will make a valuable contribution to our goal: making people happier and more successful in their professional lives. In addition to your salary, you are entitled to a thirteenth month, a good pension scheme, and profit sharing with the opportunity to become a shareholder of Nedap. At Nedap, everything revolves around trust and autonomy. That’s why, along with your colleagues, you decide on your own working hours and vacation days to maintain a healthy work-life balance. We also highly value personal and professional growth. You will receive a comprehensive introduction, and we encourage you to continuously develop yourself.

Required skills

You’re someone who enjoys working hands-on in a dynamic, startup-like environment and feels comfortable navigating uncertainty. You take ownership and think beyond code, focusing on building end-to-end solutions that create real impact. At the same time, you value collaboration and enjoy exchanging ideas to challenge and refine your thinking. With a strong curiosity for the future, you like experimenting, learning quickly, and discovering what works and what doesn’t.

Must haves

  • Work experience: You have at least three years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with strong Python skills for building data and ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with embedded systems or resource-constrained environments.
  • Cloud: You are familiar with cloud services (e.g. Blob Storage, Event Hubs, AKS, ACR).

Nice to have

  • Containerization: You have experience with Docker and deploying containerized applications
  • Knowledge of video data and processing tools.
  • Familiarity with machine learning workflows and/or edge inference.
