DevOps Engineer

We are currently looking for a new medior DevOps engineer for our location in Rotterdam. Not easily convinced? What will you be doing?

As a DevOps engineer, you will collaborate with 2 DevOps engineers in your team, enabling our product teams through shared developer platform capabilities. You will build and maintain the internal developer platform and standardized self-service tools that allow our product teams to deploy and manage their own services with minimal friction. You will also help improve CI/CD workflows, strengthen reusable golden paths for common tasks, and support clear documentation and standards so teams can work independently and consistently. Keywords for your responsibilities include optimization and automation. We are constantly working on optimizing our websites, platform, and the infrastructure that supports everything. We expect you to stay updated on the latest developments in AI, security and other DevOps-related matters and assess whether the latest trends are relevant to our company.

What success looks like in your first 3-6 months:

• Contribute to reducing time-to-deploy by improving CI/CD workflows and automation.
• Help reduce toil by building shared developer platform capabilities and clearer golden paths.
• Improve operational visibility by contributing to dashboards, logs, or alerting practices in our cloud environment.
• Support reliability and security improvements by strengthening secure defaults and implementing security scanning.
• Enhance cloud cost awareness by facilitating visibility into usage and spend.

Our ideal candidate is a motivated medior with 2+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or a similar role (such as Systems Engineer) and is eager to further advance in this field.

Must-have fundamentals

• Containerization systems (Docker, etc)
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Kubernetes (Google Kubernetes Engine)
• Linux (mainly Ubuntu/Debian)

Nice-to-have experience:

• Infrastructure as Code systems (Terraform)
• GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
• Scripting or programming languages (Bash, PHP, Python, Go)
• LLM integration systems and techniques
• Infrastructure security practices

But most importantly, we value your willingness to continuously expand your knowledge and expertise. You are not expected to master everything we apply from day one.

We help over 3 million home seekers find a new home monthly in the Netherlands through our labels and high-traffic platforms Pararius.nl, Huurwoningen.nl, and the CRM package Pararius Office and Leadflow developed for real estate agents. You should be comfortable with this way of working: communicating with your team members, providing input, engaging in discussions and collaborations with other engineers and product teams, ensuring smooth software deployment. Weekly meetings for an optimal workflow are not uncommon, allowing you the space to shape your own work method.
