Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant at Basic-Fit, you will play a crucial role in our Finance department, which is undergoing exciting projects and transformations. From process improvements and policy development to the implementation of a Cloud ERP system, you’ll be at the heart of it all!

This Is What Your Role Looks Like

You’ll be part of our talented Financial Control team (15 FTE), a group of quick-thinking financial professionals who produce high-quality reports while closely collaborating with the business. Together with the Financial Controller, you’ll ensure accurate financial reporting and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure financial accuracy: Maintain, process, and report general ledger transactions across multiple international entities.
• Month-end & statutory reporting: Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, reconciliations, and lead schedules to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Audit & compliance: Support external audit requirements and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Process improvements: Develop and implement efficiencies in financial processes, documenting desktop procedures and workflows.
• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues from Reporting & Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Business Control, and other departments.
• Special projects: Assist management with ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and strategic financial initiatives.

Who Are You?

You are a detail-oriented and proactive financial professional with a strong analytical mindset. You enjoy solving complex financial puzzles and thrive in a dynamic environment where you can further develop your skills.

Additionally, we’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in financial accounting with 1-2 years in a similar role.
• Skilled in MS Excel (advanced level).
• Knowledgeable in IFRS and SAP (S4/HANA) (preferred).
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
• A strong communicator and a team player with excellent time management skills.
