What are you going to do?

As one of our lead systems engineers you use your technical insight and experience to lead the development of a module in a larger semicon machine. You have a direct line with the system architect and your module project team to come up with the module requirements. You are responsible for the identification, definition and management of requirements along with defining verification methods. You can gauge the impact of requirements on each other and on deliverables. This is where your conceptual and analytic skills come to the fore.

During the entire development process, you keep track of the technical risks and design progress of your team. When design decisions need to be made, you are the principal engineer and must perform the trade-off. Where you lack knowledge you augment with others or you deep-dive into the topic at hand to guarantee quality. Furthermore, you support less experienced engineers in your team in a coaching role. You report independently to the overall project management, system architect, and where needed to the customer.

In the detailed design and assembly and test phase, you dive into the details and work closely together with the rest of the team to achieve a module which can be built and verified. At the conclusion of verification you make sure all requirements are satisfied, and if not, take steps for mitigation.

You will be working in multidisciplinary teams, with external development partners and in regular consultation with customers. Communication and cooperation are therefore vitally important to achieve the results we strive for.

What do you bring to the table?

• Completed an MSc or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or similar.
• You have a minimum 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary (mechanical, optical, electrical, SW) teams of over 10 people.
• You have experience in system engineering and designing on the order of nms.
• You can independently communicate both internally and externally to stakeholders in your project.
• You have a pragmatic mindset and can get things done.
