About the role

Lightspeed is a one-stop commerce platform that empowers merchants worldwide to simplify, scale, and provide exceptional customer experiences. Our team's goal is to create a site builder perfect for omni-ecommerce. It is extremely easy to use and has all the necessary features for in-store-first business owners looking to expand online.

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development of our website builder. Your main goal will be to enhance our platform's design capabilities so that any website a user creates looks professional, regardless of their design skill level. “It’s impossible to build mediocre design on our platform” is what we are aiming for.

Our team includes very strong designers with great ideas. We need a Product Manager who can turn those ideas into a clear strategy, strong execution, and ultimately a competitive advantage for our platform. This role is for someone who is excited to work at the intersection of design, product, and business, and to see how good design decisions improve the user experience and directly contribute to our customers’ success online. We value initiative and are looking for people who are ready to take on new challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Crafting feature and scope definitions that balance great design, customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Prioritizing and managing the team’s work backlog to maximize value.
  • Creating clear product delivery plans and requirements, collaborating closely with design and technical teams.
  • Driving the implementation and execution of the team’s roadmap.
  • Gathering insights from customers, internal stakeholders, and market trends to shape product direction.
  • Contributing to and evaluating new product concepts for future roadmap consideration.
  • Collaborating with Go-to-Market teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Defining and tracking metrics to measure product success.
  • Communicating value delivery clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • Experience creating products with great design and UX. You can distinguish good design from bad and explain why.
  • Experience working with designers. You know how to give constructive feedback to achieve outstanding results.
  • Proven track record in product management for SaaS products at scale.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design or a related field.
  • Expertise in product management and development life cycles, delivering high-quality software on time.
  • Proficiency in leading and managing cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Strong ability to facilitate discovery, solutioning, and alignment discussions.
  • Solid understanding of product strategy development and roadmapping.
  • Experience with market research tools and techniques.
  • English at C1 level or higher.
  • Russian at C1 level or higher.

Even Better If You Have

  • Experience in creating site builders (regardless of whether they are large and complex or simple single-page sites).
  • Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry.
  • Working as a product designer will be a significant advantage.
