Junior Cost of Organization Controller

Your role

As a Junior Cost of Organization Controller, you are a valued member of the Cost of Organization Team and report directly to the Head of Cost of Organization. You are interested in translating financial data into meaningful insights and enjoy supporting decision-making through reporting, analysis, and forecasting. You bring an analytical mindset to your work and are comfortable collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders.

The global cost base amounts to approximately €1 billion and spans all domains (Airports, Parcel, and Warehouse), regions, and functions, including Engineering, Project Execution, and enabling functions such as HR, IT, and Finance. This scope covers more than 10,000 employees, over 600 cost centers, and 200+ cost center managers.

The Cost of Organization team was established in October 2024 and is on a journey to deliver Lean & Effective Finance through standardization, automation, and process excellence.

You will work closely with your team as well as with other Finance colleagues, including Controllers, FP&A, and Finance & Accounting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support senior Finance Business partners on business support costs
  • Support the planning & control cycle (actuals, budget, forecast)
  • Prepare and analyze financial and operational KPI reporting (e.g., Power BI)
  • Contribute to process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives
  • Support the identification of financial risks and opportunities
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across Finance and the business

Your profile

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Economics, or Accountancy
  • 3–7 years of relevant Business Control experience
  • Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively across different levels and functions
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative, while knowing when to ask for guidance or support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An organized working style with attention to detail and an interest in identifying areas for improvement
  • A team player who enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, while also being able to work independently
  • An excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written (Dutch or other languages would be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of, or affinity with, planning and/or business intelligence technologies such as Power BI is preferred
