Project Procurement Manager - Greenfield

Purpose

As Project Procurement Manager, you oversee all procurement activities related to project execution. You are responsible for managing the procurement process from planning to execution, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for project success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, including sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and negotiation tactics.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to understand project requirements and timelines and ensure procurement activities support project milestones.
  • Lead the project procurement team in conducting market research, supplier evaluations, and bid analyses to identify optimal vendors and subcontractors, in liaison with the Category Management team as required.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks, in liaison with the Category Management team as required.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements, addressing any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to project stakeholders on procurement status, cost savings, and potential risks.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Proven experience in procurement management within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.

SBM Offshore provides floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry, over the full product life-cycle. The Company is market leading in leased floating production systems with multiple units currently in operation and has unrivalled operational experience in this field. The Company’s main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. These are either owned and operated by SBM Offshore and leased to its clients or supplied on a turnkey sale basis.
