What we’ll do together

Would you like to lead a high‑impact performance marketing team while shaping the global growth strategy of an iconic denim brand? Then you might be our new Performance Marketing Lead.

As G‑Star’s Performance Marketing Lead, you will head up the Performance Marketing function within the Global Digital team, overseeing all performance channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, and Affiliates. You will manage a team consisting of the Paid Search Specialist, Paid Social Lead, and Affiliate Lead — guiding them to deliver best‑in‑class execution and full‑funnel performance across 20+ international markets.

Working closely with the Digital Trade Director, regional marketing teams, eCommerce, GTM, Creative and Data teams, you will drive the global performance strategy, manage multimillion‑euro budgets, and unlock meaningful revenue growth while keeping ROAS, CAC and LTV in perfect balance.

This is a strategic and hands‑on role for a data‑driven leader who thrives in a fast-changing environment, has a strong background in paid search, and brings a holistic vision for performance media. Tasks & Responsibilities

Lead & Strategy

  • Own and evolve G‑Star’s global performance marketing strategy across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Affiliate channels.
  • Ensure each channel operates as part of a coordinated, full‑funnel approach — from awareness to conversion and retention.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable channel strategies, KPIs and measurable performance outcomes.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of channel specialists (Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliates), fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation and accountability.
  • Build cross-channel ways of working to increase efficiency, insight sharing and performance.

Budget & Performance Optimization

  • Collaborate closely with finance and commercial teams on channel budgeting and forecasting across all performance channels.
  • Maximize ROAS while reducing CAC and improving LTV through data-driven optimizations.
  • Monitor KPIs daily and steer the team toward continuous improvement.

Innovation, Testing & Measurement

  • Lead structured testing programs including A/B testing, incrementality, attribution, creative testing and audience strategies.
  • Oversee adoption of new tools, betas and innovations from partners (Google, Meta, Microsoft, Affiliate networks).
  • Champion cutting-edge measurement frameworks and ensure accurate reporting, tracking, and incrementality analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with eCommerce, Trade, Creative, GTM and Data teams to align paid media initiatives with broader business and commercial goals.
  • Ensure product feeds, creative assets, audiences, tracking and tagging are fully optimized to support performance excellence.
  • Support regional teams with local insights, experimentation frameworks, and campaign localization.

External Partnerships

  • Own the Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with platforms and key partners including Google, Meta, Microsoft, and affiliate networks.
  • Leverage agency, technology and network partners to ensure best-in-class execution and ongoing improvement.

Here’s what you bring to the table

  • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in performance marketing, with deep hands‑on expertise in Paid Search and solid understanding of Paid Social and Affiliate channels.
  • Proven experience managing multimarket performance strategies and large budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, DV360/SA360, feed management tools, and performance tracking solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams.
  • Highly analytical mindset; strong experience with testing methodologies and measurement frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Experience in fashion, retail, or eCommerce preferred.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multi-regional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
