Your Role at Axual

In this role as a Backend (Full-Stack) Software Engineer, you’ll:

• ✅ Design and build features that make our solutions scalable, secure, and easy to use
• ✅ Work with modern open-source tools, from Java and Spring to Kafka and Docker
• ✅ Contribute across the stack, from backend logic to front-end interfaces if you're up for it
• ✅ Write clean, testable, and maintainable code that powers real-time data platforms
• ✅ Collaborate in a cross-functional, agile team where ideas matter and ownership is key
• ✅ Support our customers and share your knowledge with colleagues and the wider tech community

What You Bring

• 🔹 3+ years experience with Java in a professional environment (preferably enterprise)
• 🔹 Deep understanding of microservices architecture and containerization
• 🔹 Hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem (Boot, Web, Security, Data, etc.)
• 🔹 Familiarity with Git, Maven, and CI/CD practices
• 🔹 A strong product mindset—proud of what you build and care about the “why” behind it

Bonus Points For

• ⭐ Experience with Apache Kafka or other streaming/messaging systems
• ⭐ Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• ⭐ Knowledge of Java 17 or Spring Boot 3
• ⭐ Front-end experience with modern JS frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular
