As a Quality Manufacturing Systems Lead, you will lead the Quality pillar of JDE Peet’s continuous improvement program and help drive a proactive, zero-defect food safety and quality culture across manufacturing sites.

Job Description

  • Lead the Quality pillar of JDE Peet’s continuous improvement program (coaching, workshops, assessments), benchmarking plant performance with regards to quality deliverables and proactively identifying areas for improvement
  • Interact across the supply chain, influencing stakeholders to foster an improvement zero defect mindset and proactive food safety quality culture
  • Develop and deploy Quality KPI’s, MOS standards, systems and problem-solving tools
  • Drive the standardization and optimization of analytical equipment across sites, including calibration, verification and performance benchmarking
  • Act as project expert for Central Engineering and Factory program managers for inline measurement and inspection equipment, technology and digital applications
  • Traveling between various manufacturing locations for 30 to 40% of the time

What success looks like (first 12 months)

  • Clear, comparable Quality KPIs & MOS standards adopted across sites
  • Visible improvement in quality deliverables and reduction of recurring defects
  • Improved equipment consistency through standardized calibration/verification and performance benchmarking

For this role as a Quality Manufacturing Systems lead, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor / Master or equivalent in analytical science, chemistry, food technology or engineering
  • Applied knowledge of quality and food safety standards & practices (ISO / FSSC 22000, IFS, HACCP), and Manufacturing Excellence such as TPM or Lean Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of SAP, manufacturing systems and digital knowledge management systems
  • An ability to manage and develop the skills of others, to help them perform at their best
  • Proven organizational & project management skills, as well as inspirational problem solving and facilitation in Business Process development, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action management.
  • Over 5 years’ professional expertise in cross-functional teams within an international multi-cultural design and manufacturing environment.
