  • Problem solving of manufacturing challenges through a complete understanding of optical, chemical and physical process involved in fiber production;
  • Implementing new methods for volume production of next-generation fibers;
  • Evaluating and measuring glasses, preforms and fibers using advanced tools;
  • Reporting and sharing the outcomes and progress of development and manufacturing methods to internal and external audiences, including senior management, customers, and peers;
  • Operating and overseeing advanced optical fiber production equipment.

You are the right fit if you:

  • Have a PhD or Master’s degree in optoelectronics, photonics, fiber optics, materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field;
  • Have expertise in optical fiber technologies, including commercial and advanced fiber;
  • Have experience in fiber fabrication and glass processing, in process engineering and in cleanroom operations;
  • Are familiar with fiber characterization tools and techniques for performance evaluation;
  • Are innovative, with a strong drive for excellence;
  • Have an inventive mind and are eager to solve problems;
  • Are detailed orientated, meticulous, able to work in a dynamic environment and have the ability to work efficiently across multiple tasks;
  • Are willing to go to the United States to be trained by professionals in Orlando for a certain period of time;
  • Have strong communication skills.

You are able to start working in 2 shifts for an initial phase and then move to dayshift scheme when the production is up and running.

What we offer you:

A challenging position in an innovative international production environment. A permanent contract with 27 vacation days, ADV days, 13th month salary and additional benefits.

During the 2 shifts schedule, you will also get an allowance on top of your annual gross base salary.
