About the role
As an Operations Controller, you are the financial business partner to our global Operations organization. You support the realization of financial and operational objectives through world‑class budgeting, planning, reporting, and forward‑looking performance analysis. You will work across Factories, OEMs, Supply Chain, Procurement, Markets, Group Finance, and the Controlling CoE to drive transparency and strengthen our end‑to‑end operational performance.
This role sits at the heart of how we steer cost, efficiency, and value creation within Operations. You will report into the Head of Operations Controlling and collaborate with a diverse and international team.
The impact you’ll make
Planning & Control
- Own the planning & control cycle for Operations (AOP, forecasting, monthly outlook).
- Shape Integrated Business Planning across Operations in alignment with Group FP&A.
- Drive standardized performance management across factories, OEMs, warehousing & freight, Cost of Non‑Quality, overheads and cash.
- Improve efficiency and quality of forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Lead Operations Controlling submissions and ensure system alignment (SAC or equivalent).
- Strengthen our forward‑looking modelling and long‑term scenario planning.
Performance & Reporting
- Build and maintain the integrated Operations P&L with Group FP&A.
- Enhance and modernize management reporting to enable better decision‑making.
- Deliver clear and actionable insights on variances, trends, drivers, and margin bridges.
- Support Monthly Business Reviews with timely and accurate analytics.
- Ensure transparency and consistency of Operations input into Group reporting (IGM, ISM, Cash Flow).
End‑to‑End COGS Transparency
- Create a holistic and transparent view of COGS drivers and evolution.
- Lead monthly COGS insights for Markets and Categories.
- Improve or implement costing tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and forecasting quality.
- Drive digitization from Excel‑based to automated BI‑driven reporting (Power BI/SAC).
- Translate expected (de)savings into forward‑looking costing analytics.
- Own the COGS budget model and ensure costing accuracy in collaboration with the COE.
Business Partnering & Transformation
- Act as a finance business partner for strategic operational initiatives.
- Strengthen ways of working across HQ Operations Controllers, Plant Controllers, COE, Market Finance and Group FP&A.
- Indirectly manage COE analysts to deliver high‑quality reporting, analytics and processes.
- Support and contribute to the Operations Controlling transformation roadmap.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics (CMA/CFA preferred).
- 10+ years of relevant Finance experience, ideally in Operations Controlling or Cost Accounting.
- Expertise in SAP S4, SAC, Power BI and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with hands‑on approach.
- Experience with cost accounting, plant controlling or supply chain controlling is a strong asset.
- Strong FP&A capabilities, including modelling and forward‑looking analytics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence without hierarchical authority.
- Fluent in English.
