Make an impact with your skills

Finance & Risk track

During your first assignment of one year and your second and third assignment of six months you learn what our finance and risk departments do. This is the moment to show your analytical skills. How will you handle the huge amount of data within NN? You can grow into a management role within Finance & Risk as you fulfil the different roles and tackle the projects you will be working on. And as if the projects are not challenging enough, you will also get regular trainings from your colleagues to boost your knowledge on a broad range of topics within Finance and Risk. Furthermore, if you wish to broaden your horizon (literally), you will have the possibility to go abroad during one of your rotations.

A lot to learn and discover

  • Strong focus on personal development with a.o, our Future Leaders programme, mentoring, coaching, serious responsibilities to ensure steep learning curve.
  • International programme & possibility to do assignment in one of our offices outside NL
  • You Matter – you get the support, freedom and trust to make a real difference, right from the start
  • Exposure in our company through rotations, Business Unit Days and events with Management Board and senior management
  • Endless possibilities within our company, there is no pre-set path
  • 3 training weeks per year, including Business Unit Days, personal development training, soft & hard skill training and Future Leaders programme at Relevance
  • Content trainings dependent on your assignment, developed and taught by our own highly experienced and skilled colleagues
  • Additional personal training budget
  • Valuable close knitted trainee group

This is what your traineeship looks like

The entire traineeship has a duration of two years. In these two years you will have 3 rotations, meaning you will have the chance to work at three different assignments throughout NN Group. After the traineeship, you will find a fixed role in the company but don’t worry, we will still support you.

This is you

You simply love figures and cannot wait to optimise these figures at the least possible risk. One of your main talents that you will be tapping into is your aptitude for analytical thinking as this helps you maintain a critical view. And with your creative mind, you come to smart solutions. This is how you aim for the best result. Furthermore, as a NN Group trainee:

  • You have obtained your Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics or Physics by September 1st. Additionally, you have a maximum of two years of work experience after your graduation date.
  • You are driven by learning and development in your career as well as a person.
  • You like to take initiative, have a great sense of responsibility and do not give up until you have reached your goals.
  • You have strong communication skills that you want to use to inspire and motivate others.
  • You certainly want to join an internationally operating corporation.
