Principal Architect – Digital

Job Description

Own, define, maintain and e2e drive implementation of the overall target architecture cross domain topics in ERP, Digital, Data, Integrations and AI and give guidelines for architecture development

Responsibilities

• Own, define and maintain overall architecture across technologies across multiple domains (Through Domain Architects)
• Own, define and maintain a roadmap to achieve the target state. Work with business and IT stakeholders to define and align a portfolio of IT projects to deliver the roadmap.
• Define, develop and evolve architecture standards, guidelines, frameworks, management methods, processes and tools and propagate the usage of the same within the organization
• Champion Architecture management across the organization
• Drive Simplification and decommissioning e2e to look at new business fit IT solutions
• Participate in MTP discussions and support Canon in business innovation/improvements, Template adherence
• Govern the common template and manage key solution decisions through Executive Solution Control Board sessions

Qualifications

Skills and knowledge required:

Business skills

• Commercial awareness of key business drivers
• Understanding of key business processes
• Ability to articulate the value of IT projects e.g. quantifying benefits and NPV and TCO calculations

Technology skills

• Demonstrates e2e architecture thinking across ERP, Digital, Integrations, Data and AI
• Professional experience with all aspects of an IT project from design through development, testing, implementation, and production
• Professional experience with key applications and technologies in use in the enterprise
• In-depth knowledge of one or multiple key applications/domains – Oracle eBS, Siebel, Service now, Sales Force, Oracle Commerce Cloud, Integration platforms like OIC, Informatica and IBM BAW
• Awareness of relevant technologies in the wider industry, and their strengths and weaknesses
• Professional experience Integration architecture (at least 5 years)
• Proficiency with at least one EA framework, EA tool
• Expertise in IT-Management Processes and ITIL

Communication skills

• Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills in English
• Ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to non IT-experts
• Ability to challenge business requirements and to enforce defined architecture principles

Analytical skills

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, being able to see the "big picture"
• Quantitative analytical skills to evaluate the costs, benefits and other measurable features of potential options

Experience required:

• About 10 years of experience within ICT with 5 years in application architecture

For the respective areas we expect the following differentiating experience:

Core ERP

• Strong experience, >10 Yr, on architecting Oracle eBS landscapes.
• Experience with SAP (Hana) is a advantage.
• Extensive experience with different end 2 end business models in order to cash, plan & manage finance and master data management processes. From L1 down to L3.
• Strong experience with the Support Solutions around the core R12 application, eg. BluYonder or Oracle EPM.
• Proven track record as a trusted business advisor in the SCM, Finance & HR domains.

Digital

• Strong experience, >10 Yr, on architecting Digital landscapes.
• Experience with the various Salesforce.com applications and platforms, ideally with the respective certifications.
• Experience ServiceNow, Siebel and/or other service applications.
• Strong Experience with managing and optimizing the application stack in the digital space. Show clear track record of minimization of applications, managing the fast life cycle pace.
• Extensive experience with different end 2 end business models in order to sales, service and marketing processes. From L1 down to L3.
• Proven track record as a trusted business advisor in the Customer Journey domain.

DRONE

• Strong experience, >10 Yr, on architecting (bespoke) ERP landscapes.
• Experience with Orion by Azentio or proven ability to quickly absorb a fully new technology stack
• Extensive experience with different end 2 end business models in order to sales, service and marketing processes. From L1 down to L3.
• Proven track record as a trusted business advisor in both the Customer Journey and ERP functions domain.

Data & Integration

• Strong experience, >10 Yr, on architecting data & integration landscapes.
• Experience with Informatica, Oracle and Microsoft reporting and datalake & warehousing applications is required.
• Extensive experience integration and reporting processes. From L1 down to L3.
• Ability to create a clear path through the evolving AI landscape, allowing Canon management to make the right decisions on investments and implementation priorities.
