Team Lead Java Engineer, Remarketing (f/m/x)

As a Tech Lead within the Remarketing Technology Department, you will play a critical leadership role within a fast-paced, multicultural, and agile team. You will be responsible for architecting and delivering state-of-the-art software solutions that drive significant business value. Leveraging the latest technologies—including Artificial Intelligence and Agentic AI—you will help steer your team towards excellence, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries while maintaining alignment with AUTO1 Group's strategic goals.

Your new Role

• Architecture, solution design, development, quality assurance, shipping, monitoring and maintenance are all done by us in our service oriented platform with currently 300+ RESTful microservices. As a team lead you and your team own a subset of our applications and services.

Your Skills

• You have at least two years of experience in leading a group of developers and taking responsibility for a team and software.
• You have 5+ years of professional experience in Java programming.
• You have a good understanding of the JVM. You are fluent in modern Java, know the possibilities of the language, and can apply them in everyday and really tricky scenarios.
• You have a passionate opinion on how RESTful APIs should ideally look, but you’re not too dogmatic to ignore the everyday needs of a business.
• You bring at least 2 years of experience with Spring-based technologies and have hands-on experience with Spring Boot, ideally Spring Cloud.
• You leverage software design principles and patterns to translate product requirements into technical specifications and flows.
