Senior Mechatronic Systems Engineer

For our location in Groningen, Demcon is looking for an experienced, versatile, enthusiastic, and driven Senior Mechatronic Systems Engineer.

As an experienced systems engineer with a background in mechatronics or mechanics, you are looking for a technical challenge. At Demcon, you will work on innovative mechatronic projects in mechanical engineering, together with colleagues who are just as driven as you are.

What are you going to do?

You are responsible for designing system concepts for a wide range of products and production systems. You understand the customer's language and translate it into solutions, in collaboration with your colleagues. You are also responsible for implementing and validating the chosen solution. You know how to establish substantive connections between the system requirements, the system concept, and the system integration. In addition to your substantive role, you also fulfill a technical leadership, motivational, and coaching role.

Together with a project manager, you oversee and manage the process from quotation to implementation at the client's site. You monitor technical progress, planning, and budget and take action where necessary. You ensure good communication with the client, cohesion within the project team, and internal coordination within Demcon.

What do you bring to the table?

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, engineering physics, electrical engineering) with a specialization in or affinity for mechatronics and/or mechanics.
• You are a true professional with demonstrable expertise in systems engineering, mechanics, and/or control engineering.
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a systems engineer, lead engineer, or mechatronic designer;
• You enjoy working on projects and in a team and feel at home in a business environment;
• You are enterprising and creative, recognizing and translating technical problems or new technical developments into potential projects and solutions;
• You have a business/commercial mindset and know how to combine the interests of the customer with those of DEMCON;
• You are enthusiastic and flexible, show initiative and perseverance, are customer-oriented, and have good communication skills;
• You are self-aware and self-directed, also in your own development.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages
