Female Ventures is a vibrant on- and offline community dedicated to empowering female professionals across the Netherlands. With over 1,300 members, we foster growth through our extensive network, tailored programs, and engaging events. Our nonprofit foundation is driven by passionate volunteers committed to supporting businesswomen on their paths to success. We cultivate a cross-generational community offering inspiration, education, mentoring, and networking opportunities. Our local teams in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Delft/The Hague, and Eindhoven organize impactful events and programs.

Your role & responsibilities

  • Inspire and lead a team of enthusiastic volunteers and organize impactful events together.
  • Grow the community in Delft/The Hague.
  • Connect to local stakeholders (universities, businesses, incubators, etc.).
  • Co-organize and moderate Female Ventures events.
  • Participate in the team of Female Ventures Team Directors.

Key responsibilities

As the City Director for Delft/The Hague you will be the driving force behind our local chapter, responsible for its growth, engagement, and operational success. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team of volunteers to deliver value to our members.

Leadership and team coordination

  • Define and set up (together with the Delft/The Hague team) a full-year program with events and activities for the Delft/The Hague chapter; track team performance concerning event planning, marketing guidelines, and sponsors.
  • Inspire and guide your volunteer team to collaboratively plan, coordinate, and execute the chapter’s annual program of events and activities that foster learning and networking.

Create a safe and engaging team environment

  • Manage volunteer recruiting, onboarding, and continuity.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, facilitating problem-solving and quick resolution of any challenges.
  • Ensure clear communication and volunteer accountability.
  • Act as the primary liaison between your local team, the other City Directors, and the national Female Ventures Board.

As liaison, you will

  • Share program results, insights, experience, and ideas.
  • Support the engagement of the local team with national events and initiatives.
  • Align on strategies, program calendar, and events.

Community growth and programing of inspirational / educational events

  • Grow the Female Ventures community in Delft/The Hague by connecting with local stakeholders.

This includes

  • Engage with local key opinion leaders and their communities.
  • Forge strategic local partnerships with universities, businesses, incubators, and other relevant organizations.
  • Co-organise and moderate Female Ventures events that promote engagement and learning.
  • Coordinate with the Female Ventures’ partnerships director to initiate new partnerships and support their local implementation.

Planning and oversight

  • Develop annual strategic plans and provide quarterly reports on team performance, community growth, key learnings, and insights to inform future strategies and continuous improvement.
  • Manage local chapter finances, oversee expense reports, and maintain a clear financial overview in coordination with the FV Treasurer.
