About the role

Your department

You join the Loopsorter System Team within R&D. This multidisciplinary group ensures that system-level software and hardware function smoothly. You work both independently in our Emulation Room and together with developers, testers, engineers, ICT and commissioning colleagues.

Your role

As a Junior R&D Test Engineer, you help ensure the reliability of software and hardware used in major airports and distribution centers. You’ll gain hands-on experience executing and automating tests, keeping test environments stable and up to date, and analyzing logs to uncover and solve issues. You’ll also contribute to improving test tools and automation, while maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation.

You will be working in our extensive emulation room, being responsible for the installation and reliability upgrades to guarantee the continuous operations of our controls emulation stations. This is a unique opportunity to grow into a skilled test engineer role, shaping complex test environments and making a real impact on critical systems.

Your Profile

  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • Proactive, hands-on, and eager to learn, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, such as Mechatronics, ICT, or Software Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • Affinity with computer systems, control software and scripting
  • It is beneficial to have some experience with TIA Portal or PLC systems
  • Interest in PowerShell or scripting, demonstrating curiosity and technical initiative
