New Support Worker roles – jobs that make a difference

Avenues Support Workers benefit from great career progression, sector-leading professional training and great job stability – people stay with us an average of 6 years!

We are now looking for Support Workers to join our team in Addlestone Community to work with young adults and adults, who have learning disabilities, in their own home and in the community.

This role is supporting individuals in their own home, both shared and individual services, with all aspects of their everyday lives such as shopping, planning and cooking meals, finances, attending appointments etc.

The role will cover Addlestone and the surrounding area which could include Chertsey, Walton and Weybridge.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential for applicants to hold a full valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle for business use.

You don’t need experience as full training is provided, and you will work with a local team who will guide you from day one.

As well as sharing our values of Respect, Excellence, Integrity and Pride, to join Avenues as a Support Worker you will need to be:

  • Reliable – the person you support, their family and your team will quickly learn that they can count on you.
  • Creative – you see alternative ways of getting things done effectively.
  • Determined – you don’t give up when things get difficult.

These qualities are essential to the role, as together they mean you will be able to give outstanding support, empowering people to make choices and …

  • participate in social, leisure and work activities
  • carry out everyday tasks, such as personal care, cleaning or going shopping
  • learn new skills and reach their full potential
