Bachelor/Master internship – Design of a Power Distribution Unit

Design a Power Distribution Unit (PDU) that can safely, efficiently and cost-effectively regulate power from a 48V Motor Generator Unit to multiple electrical loads.

We are looking for an enthusiastic HBO or WO student who is pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering. In your position as Internship – Engineering your main responsibilities will be:

• Lead development of a 48V PDU (50%), including:
  • Requirement specification
  • Concept generation and selection
  • Detailed mechanical and electrical design
  • Verification of design by means of simulation software (SPICE, NX, etc.)
• Supporting the Engine Externals & Aftertreatment HW engineering teams with day-to-day activities (50%)

Jouw profiel

• Pursuing an HBO or WO degree in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering
• Experience in the field of electronics and electronic design
• Strong communication skills in English are required

Within PACCAR Inc., Global Engine Development is the center of competence for Engine and Aftertreatment development. In our state-of-the-art testing center, we develop engine and aftertreatment systems for future regulations. Our trucks are best in class in the transportation world, always driven by providing environmentally friendly products with best cost-effectiveness and highest reliability for our customers.

The Engineering department is responsible for the hardware development of new engines and aftertreatment systems and maintaining the in-production products.
