The purpose of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the CO2 reduction plans submitted by our suppliers, with a strong emphasis on enhancing our supply chain sustainability initiatives. In today’s business environment, compliance with sustainability standards is not just a regulatory obligation but a strategic imperative. Organizations are increasingly held accountable by stakeholders, regulators, and consumers to demonstrate their commitment to environmental responsibility. By embedding sustainability into our supply chain practices, we can effectively mitigate risks related to regulatory non-compliance and supply chain disruptions while unlocking substantial business value through enhanced operational efficiency, innovation, and improved brand reputation.

De opdracht richt zich op het uitvoeren van een grondige evaluatie van de CO2-reductieplannen die door onze leveranciers zijn ingediend, met een sterke focus op het versterken van onze duurzaamheidsinitiatieven binnen de supply chain. Objective / Doelstelling: Your analysis should reveal opportunities to fortify the supply chain and identify new avenues for sustainable business growth. Je analyse brengt kansen in kaart om de supply chain te versterken en nieuwe mogelijkheden voor duurzame groei te identificeren.

You will be working on the following topics:

• Categorizing suppliers and commodities into relevant segments for CO2 reduction.
• Evaluating the CO2 reduction roadmaps submitted by suppliers.
• Conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the CO2 reduction plans submitted by our suppliers.
• Identifying best practices that drive business value.
• Analyzing commodity categories in relation to CO2 reduction plans and energy consumption.

Jouw profiel

We are looking for a proactive intern studying in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related fields who can assist us in improving our supply chain sustainability initiatives. You should have a strong drive to understand sustainability practices, be structured, and possess the ability to gather information from a variety of stakeholders. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and international team.

The purchasing process is of strategic importance to DAF Trucks, as it directly impacts 75% of the costs of a truck.
