How you can make your mark

Boskalis is currently looking for a student to start (Medio 2026) their graduation project within the Project Planning team at the Global Engineering department of Boskalis Offshore Energy.

As a planner, you are a key player in further developing Boskalis’ position within the Offshore Energy market. Planners support both the tender processes and the execution of projects; we ensure that time, resources and milestones are realistically structured, monitored and continuously improved. By actively engaging with stakeholders, a planner makes a constructive and valued contribution to both the tender and project phases, reducing risks and maximizing opportunities while keeping everyone informed and aligned. The end goal is to achieve a smooth project execution with a reliable and achievable schedule.

A key to success as a planner is being process-minded, able to adapt to different situations and personalities, and to perform well in a high-pressure environment. You are analytical, proactive, and not afraid to highlight what others might overlook: schedule risks, critical path conflicts or unrealistic planning assumptions. Planners not only build and analyse great schedules, they also communicate complex information in a clear and simple way, ensuring full understanding across all stakeholders.

There is no clearly defined topic, but feel free to apply for a graduation thesis at our department, and discuss with us what your interests are, what drives you, and where those interests can be a benefit for Boskalis. In cooperation, we will work out a tailor-made assignment.

Your qualities

  • You are doing a technical or engineering related Bachelor (HBO) or Master (WO) that correlates to construction or logistical disciplines and have an affinity for project planning management in complex offshore projects.
  • Eager to learn project management and planning management concepts.
  • Preferably, you are available to work from our office in Papendrecht at least four days a week.

The following competencies are also important for the role:

  • Strong analytical skills and willingness to develop further.
  • A flexible attitude and ability to handle last-minute information and adjustments.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

The resources that you will be able to use

  • Receive supervision and support from professionals from various Boskalis departments.
  • Gain access to necessary data.
  • Low threshold to plan meetings with people to gain a better understanding.
  • Access to all related Boskalis available software, including Primavera.
  • Specific internal training on various subjects.

Extra Information

  • Your team: You will be part of the Project & Tender Support team, within Offshore Energy’s Global Engineering department, collaborating closely with Risk- & Systems Engineering and Document Control. The Planning team consists of 10 dedicated international colleagues.
  • Where you will work: We work from our beautiful campus in Papendrecht, and working partly from home is a possibility.
