Web Developer, Marketing, Thornaby on Tees

We have fantastic opportunities for a talented Web Developer to join a new creative team and help take an already established brand to a new level. Under the direction of the Brand manager and working closely with a Digital Designer, you will be responsible for the development and technical integration of our key marketing platforms including e.g. Wordpress, Facebook and Email.

What you will be doing

The Web Developer will initially be working closely with our Digital Designer on the integration of our key marketing campaign templates for Email, Facebook and Wordpress, these templates will have to be responsive to adapt to the various devices used by our customers.

You will be expected to contribute to brain storming sessions and share your area of expertise so as to help the rest of the team understand any technical limitations or opportunities within given campaigns e.g. interactive competitions, surveys.

You will gain a deep understanding of our internal and 3rd party systems in order to get access to our product and customer information. You will use this information to map the most appropriate methods to successfully deliver the campaign whilst ensuring content is personalised and analysis is clear.

You will be supportive of the rest of the team and willing to adapt your workflow and tasks in order to deliver to the highest possible standards and meet deadlines.

This is a fast paced environment and you be expected to think on your feet and quickly adapt to any business or project changes.

What we are looking for

• Minimum of 2 years commercial experience
• A portfolio of sites previously worked
• Excellent technical knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
• Experience of marketing platforms (Wordpress, Facebook, Email, etc.)
• Experience of working within coding standards
• Good understanding of front-end web technologies
• Good understanding of SEO best practise
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to meet strict deadlines
• Self-motivated - can work on own initiative, proactive
