Logistics at bloomon

We’re responsible for delivering tens of thousands of flowers per week across five countries (and counting). How? By combining a dedicated hands-on mentality with data-focused strategic thinking. We relish the challenge of keeping our blooms super fresh on their 36-hour journey from flower bed to table. As the central point of contact for multiple external depots, we operate our dense network of long-haul shipments and local traffic like pros. Our multidisciplinary team is organized, assertive, results-oriented and always ready to solve problems. We love seeing the rewards of our efforts in happy customers. What will you do?

One of our key processes is the delivery of thousands of bouquets to customers. We collaborate with local (external) logistic partners to organize our last mile deliveries. Additionally, we work with major parcel networks to ensure the deliveries in the rural areas. In the role of Logistics Country Lead Germany you are responsible for the end-to-end logistics in Germany and ensure a smooth delivery for all our German customers. You will make sure our delivery service is of the highest quality, so we have happy customers at all times. This means working with depots, drivers, our Customer Service agents, the production team in Aalsmeer, and many more stakeholders.

Bloomon is growing rapidly, and even more in Germany. You will work from our Amsterdam head office together with an international team.

You will be responsible for

Organizing, planning and optimize our long-haul and last-mile deliveries;The German logistics budget and financial targets;Extend and manage performance of our international network of depots, delivery partners and parcel partners;Measure and improve the quality of delivery;Initiate and take lead in process optimization and improvement projects;Direct contact person for the other departments like sales and finance when it comes to all logistics in Germany;You will work close to the Logistics Manager and your colleagues from other countries.

What do we expect from you?

MSc or BSc qualification;1-3 year experience in an operational working environment, preferably logistics or production;Analytical skills, a structured approach to work and details oriented;Good communicative skills - experience in negotiating and managing external suppliers;Proactive, problem solving and definite ‘can do’ attitude;Self-starting, enthusiastic and results driven;Not afraid of responsibility or working with deadlines;IT savvy;Fluent in German (speaking and writing);Occasional travel to Germany;Loving a start- and/or scale-up environmentLooking for your biggest challenge so far!
