The High Performance Computing engineers work on the development of end-user workflows involving the numerical simulation of production from an oilfield asset. The position involves work spanning the whole product development life cycle, enhancing and extending the functionality of our commercial products. These products are market leaders with an established user-base, and the development team has been steadily growing over the past few years.

The successful applicant will be required to collaborate with other groups, both internal and external to the organization; hence a good team worker is required for this role. Strong software skills are required to develop high quality technical applications.

Qualifications:

Master's or PhD (prefered) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.

Competencies:

  • Strong C++
  • GPU experience writing CUDA
  • Mathematical or scientific programming
  • Parallel programming
  • Cross platform development (Linux & PC)
  • Object Oriented Design
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work to commercial deadlines
  • Good communication skill

Exposure to any of the following would be advantageaous:

  • Commercial software development
  • Inter-process communication
  • MPI / OpenMP
  • Cloud Architectures
