Marketing Assistant - 12 Month FTC

Would you like to work for a leading global media organisation? Are you a creative marketeer in the entertainment industry? If so, we’d love to hear from you. We are currently recruiting a Marketing Assistant to join our team based in London for a 12-month fixed term contract. The Marketing team is responsible for engaging kids by demonstrating that our channels and brands are fresh, surprising, relevant and creating stand-out in the emerging digital arena. 

The Marketing Assistant will support the Marketing Manager across the day-to-day running of the department, key projects and campaigns. This position is ideal for a candidate wishing to gain valuable hands-on experience within the UK media industry across Marketing, Social Media and Communications, while building a sound knowledge for how the regional business plan fits into a wider global entertainment strategy.

What you will be doing:

  • Actively support the Marketing and Comms team with UK-led events, including experiential campaigns, press junkets and screenings
  • Prepare and distribute UK monthly highlights (Kids’ and GE channels) to platforms and media partners
  • Provide support to platforms and media partners including assets and approval requests in a timely manner 
  • Work meticulously with suppliers and creative team to produce all premiums for consumer activations, trade events and mail-outs from ideation to creation
  • Prepare campaign reports for key UK projects
  • Manage and maintain the Marketing and Communications internal database (i.e. update media and platform contact lists, save daily press cuttings, compile new show assets)
  • Refresh website, the pressroom and the intranet with show assets and case studies
  • Assist in preparing PR toolkits for key programme launches
  • Collate assets for digital publishers 
  • Draft e-blasts, newsletters and other collateral as required
  • Day-to-day running of the Cartoon Network and Boomerang PopJam channels
  • Work closely with Social Media Manager and Marketing Manager to brief and develop assets for Social channels 

What we are looking for:

  • Able to manage own time, delivering to tight deadlines and within budget
  • Basic digital experience 
  • A strong and clear communicator with excellent copy writing skills and creative ideas
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Pro-active character with excellent organisation and initiative 
  • Adept at building productive cross-department relationships

Desirable: 

  • Basic Photoshop skills
  • Previous experience coordinating events, mailouts and competitions 
  • Some experience in TV/ entertainment sector
