Learning and Development Advisor

Location: Croydon, London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester or Leeds

Are you a L&D Advisor, who considers themselves a self-starter and who is passionate about designing and delivering training modules in the digital area (think Analytics, BIM, 3-D, Social media, etc.)?

At Arcadis we are looking for an experienced Learning and Development Advisor to join our team and support our Digital L&D Manager in the design, delivery and management of digital professional skills training programmes.

Within this role you will have the opportunity to spend half your time designing new training modules, which will focus on developing digital learning modules (think Data Analytics, BIM, Social Media, etc.) . However, you will still be able to apply your passion for coaching and deliver existing training modules across our UK offices.

The role will suit someone who is passionate about taking L&D projects from concept to completion and you will have the opportunity to use your experience to shape the learning modules. For instance, this role would be responsible for developing our CareerZone, which will provide training modules to all members of staff.

As this role will be focused on digital learning it is desirable that you have some existing knowledge within this realm, but more importantly we are looking for someone that is keen to revolutionise the way Arcadis provide training within this realm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation
  • Ensuring that training solutions are designed and delivered to a high quality which meets the needs of the business
  • Monitor and amend/revise existing programmes as required to meet the needs of the business and ensure programmes remain relevant, effective and sustainable
  • Evaluate training and development programmes and prepare reports/recommendations for the UK Learning and Development Lead
  • Produce training materials
  • Work to produce a programme and community that will support our line manager group
  • Support the business to solve specific training problems and be confident to offer advice on learning solutions available
  • Keep up to date with developments in learning and development by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
  • Research social learning technologies/methodologies in workplace learning and make recommendations
  • Keep within budget and assess the return on investment of any training or development programme.
  • Continuous development of the content for the Arcadis Academy for professional and interpersonal skills.
  • Challenge defined training needs to ensure that they link to defined needs
  • Management of training providers to ensure best value and high-quality learning delivery
  • Collaborate with HR and learning and development practitioners in other regions to provide joined up solutions

About you

  • Experience of designing professional training programmes
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of training methodologies
  • Desirable – Experience of digital across businesses
  • Must be passionate about digital revolution and how to implement this across Arcadis
  • Confident, approachable, positive and resilient with the ability to gain the trust and confidence of managers
  • Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent’
  • Willingness to travel to all Arcadis UK locations
