In the role of **fleet engineer E&I** you will make your mark by being responsible for the availability and reliability of E&I installations in our worldwide fleet of vessels. You will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability of our designated fleet. As a fleet engineer E&I, you will coordinate E&I projects for repairs and modifications. You will be part of the E&I department and located in Papendrecht. As a fleet engineer, you will work together with fleet management, crew, suppliers, and other specialists. The role encompasses responsibility for the technical performance of E&I installations on the assigned equipment and the execution of E&I maintenance.

Your responsibilities as fleet engineer E&I

  • Ensuring availability and reliability of E&I installations for the designated equipment.
  • Bearing responsibility for the technical performance of E&I installations on the designated equipment.
  • Executing the E&I installations maintenance plan for designated equipment.
  • Performing emergency repairs on E&I installations on the designated equipment.
  • Coaching and training on-the-job of Ship's Electricians for the E&I installations on designated equipment.
  • Supporting fleet management and crew on fault analysis, repairs, and root cause analysis of E&I related incidents.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of maintenance policies and procedures for E&I installations.
  • Long-term maintenance and/or replacement of E&I installations.
  • Advising on technical proposals from suppliers.
  • Contributing to E&I projects for repairs and modification.

Your qualities and experience

You can move ahead as a fleet engineer E&I if you have:
  • Technical and operational knowledge of assigned equipment.
  • Higher Professional Education (Bachelor) in Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the applicable Occupational Health & Safety rules and classification and flag state certificates.
  • Basic skills in ICT Office and fleet management systems.
Experience: 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in a maritime environment. Good command of English: written and spoken. Willingness to travel: on a regular basis.

Extra information

Your team: As a fleet engineer, you are a member of our corporate Fleet Management Team and you will report to the fleet manager. Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office. Full/part-time job: The position of fleet manager E&I is a full-time (40 hours a week) job.
