Role Purpose

Diversity and Inclusion(D&I) has been identified as one of the firm's top priorities. You will support the Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion and the Global Diversity and Inclusion Senior Manager with the development and implementation of key Diversity projects. The role involves collaborating with a range of stakeholders, including senior partners, associates and the business services teams as well as clients and organisations with whom we partner. As part of the firm’s wider responsible business team you will also liaise with members of the Global Community Investment and Pro Bono teams.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Working closely with the Global D&I Leads and key stakeholders on the co-ordination, implementation and progression of key projects within our D&I focus including: mental health and wellbeing, gender diversity, social mobility, LGBT+, race and ethnicity;
  • End to end management of tasks relating to our global initiatives ensuring all stakeholders are updated on progress and tasks are delivered on time and within scope;
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure our diversity activities are represented accurately externally. For example, with our business development teams on client pitch documents, communications team and other client requests for information; as part of the responsible business team on our on our annual report;
  • Drafting and co-ordinating internal communications on D&I, for example keeping our D&I wiki and responsible business team site updated and planning communications for D & I awareness days;
  • Working with the Global Services Centre to streamline D & I processes and ensure the most efficient method of delivery is undertaken;
  • Supporting the network offices and areas of the business on designing and implementing D&I activities, including supporting the firm’s global employee networks, diversity partners and responsible business contacts;
  • Tracking Diversity metrics and working with the HR Reporting team to continually improve data globally, producing reports for a range of stakeholders;
  • Carrying out Diversity benchmarking and submitting external diversity awards;
  • Developing links with key professional bodies, such as The Law Society and responding to diversity reporting requests;
  • Representing the firm, where appropriate, on external forums and working groups;
  • Managing ad hoc internal and external requests for information on D&I;
  • Keeping up to date with the latest developments in D&I research and thinking.

Key Requirements

  • Considerable experience working in corporate or PSF in a Diversity related or HR role;
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (including relevant work experience);
  • Strong process, planning and project management skills;
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously ;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong IT skills, excel and power point;
  • Highly organised and able to perform in a fast paced environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated strong implementation skills;
  • An interest in Diversity and Inclusion, engagement and internal communications.
