Our mission is to develop, build and operate a sustainable and integrated supply chain with hydrogen as primary energy carrier.

With a focus on “hydrogen as primary energy carrier, from wind to wheel” the activities of HYGRO are divers. In the renewable energy chain, the peak capacity required for demand or supply is a dominant cost driver. Matching this peak demand and supply in time is another challenge. Is HYGRO selling energy, capacity, or both? New value chains lead to new business models whereby in the renewable energy value chain complex data analysis, predictions, buffer optimisation & dynamic pricing play a key role.

HYGRO is becoming the green hydrogen supplier to provide customers with affordable and sustainable energy at a timely delivery.

Your activities

As business analyst you are asked to have deep understanding of the economics of the value chain, build the right business models & tools for the new value propositions in the market. You are not afraid of complex models and algorithms, while having a common sense on how to translate that into pricing propositions and bankable plans.

• Prepare (investment) proposals in the complex environment of (sustainable) energy based on capacity- and dynamic pricing and complex modelling algorithms;
• Perform discounted cash flow analysis of investment opportunities and develop leasing structures to generate attractive returns;
• Maintain and enhance valuation and pricing models and assumptions to improve business performance & ensure accuracy of investment decisions;
• Monitor, collect, analyse and synthesize market intelligence data and developments;
• Study industry and market trends to reflect or incorporate in our business models
• Develop data analytics for key commercial KPIs to help assess progress against plans and adjust strategies;
• Support business developments team to help develop and track cross-selling and bundling opportunities;
• Prepare presentations, analytics and reports both for internal and external use;
• Play an active role in preparing company’s annual budget and investment plans;

Your knowledge and experience

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline, preferably with complex modelling and algorithms;
• Proficiency in Dutch and English;
• Strong analytical and market research skills;
• Proactive person with hands-on work approach and attention to detail;
• Advanced level Excel and preferably Python
• Strong communication skills.
• Some relevant business experience is a plus, but not required;
• Some knowledge of the (sustainable) energy market helps but is not required.

Position in the organisation

You’ll be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.
