DESCRIPTION

iwoca is breaking down the barriers that stop Europe’s 20 million small businesses from accessing finance. Traditional bank loans have slow application processes, inflexible terms and burdensome criteria. In contrast, we use cutting-edge technology to offer flexible access to credit with a five minute application process and a decision in hours.

Since 2012, we've lent over £400 million to over 20,000 businesses across Europe. Our customers include everything from cafés to car dealers, salons to solicitors. Along the way we have built a sophisticated technology platform, won numerous awards and grown a fun, and vibrant team.

However, we’re still near the start of our journey – our aim is to finance a million small businesses within a decade and so we need more smart, hands-on people to help us reach this goal.

REQUIREMENTS

The role:

We genuinely put customer satisfaction at the very heart of our success (and doing quite nicely!). We love our customers and want them to have the best possible experience. We also understand that financial matters can be confusing and frustrating for small businesses. Our customer success team makes sure we consistently deliver A+ service in this context.

As part of our account management team you will be the first port of call for new customers, guiding them through the application process, answering any questions they might have about the product or process, and following up with them to ensure we have all the information we need to process applications. More importantly you will build a relationship of trust with customers, helping them to understand how iwoca works and nurturing them through from signup to successful renewal. The account manager team deliver the following very important tasks at iwoca:

  1. Nurture a portfolio of prospective (in-bound) clients until they are ready to sign up
  2. Drive adoption of the iwoca product within a portfolio of customers
  3. Manage a portfolio of existing customer relationships to achieve higher satisfaction, and retention
  4. Support customers through the renewal process expediently

You will be responsible for the administration and organization of business documents required from our clients and will work closely with the credit analysts to ensure the loan approval process runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Account Managers are the public face of iwoca, acting as the dedicated point of contact for their customers. You will be:

  • The customer champion, driving business growth through customer successful outcomes
  • Delivering rapid, reliable and human assistance to iwoca’s newest customers
  • Helping prospective customers with documentation submission required for loan applications
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, helping them achieve their business goals with iwoca
  • Proactively guiding customers through our process and ensuring we exceed their expectations, effectively addressing customer concerns and issues
  • Liaising with various teams in a timely manner to achieve the best outcome for our customers
  • Maximising the number of applications passed to the credit analyst team

In addition we are always looking to improve how we work. Part of your responsibilities will include driving change across the business through structured feedback, ensuring we always provide customers with the best possible experience across all aspects of iwoca. You will also provide insight and customer feedback to other business areas to help drive a better customer experience.

You will need:

  • A passion for delighting customers - first and foremost - prior experience and proven customer relationship management experience a strong plus. Alternatively some experience in administrative positions also helps
  • Strong communication & listening skills with an excellent telephone manner and a passion for delighting customers
  • Be proactive, motivated, and metrics-driven: we work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good time-management and multitasking skills
  • The ability to "think outside the box" to make suggestions that will help us improve our products, systems and processes
  • A proven ability to explain complex products and services to consumers
  • Basic understanding of business finance and accounting. More importantly you should have a good business sense and an understanding of what makes SMEs tick
  • Attention to detail and be able to spot missing data from a mile away
  • Fluent German - note that we require fully fluent German level (i.e. you’ve grown up speaking German or have learnt it to CEFR C2 level or similar)
  • Cover letter is essential.

BENEFITS

In addition to a competitive salary, we also provide the following:

  • A smart, fun and internationally diverse team - together, we represent over 35 different nationalities
