About the position

As a Sales Trader, you will be part of a team committed to making the renewable energy market more transparent and liquid. In this position, you will enter the global commodity market with a specific focus on the Dutch market. You will build your own client portfolio and it is your job to provide clients with innovative and responsible solutions. You will report to your direct team leader, an experienced Sales Broker.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Building your own client portfolio by actively approaching potential leads (Cold Calling);
  • Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments to become the main source of information for your clients;
  • Identify opportunities for trading and devise execution;
  • Understand the underlying products being traded and stay abreast of new products and procedures;
  • Provide daily pricing for market participants;
  • Responsible for meeting your own profit target (PnL).

About you

  • You have a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or other related field;
  • Experience gained in B2B sales, business development or other relevant customer-facing roles through study/work;
  • Knowledge of renewable energy commodities;
  • Experience with cold calling;
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, a commercial attitude and a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit that enables you to develop business in new directions;
  • Fully professional proficiency in Dutch and English;
  • Committed to achieving high goals and working in a fast-paced environment.
