Job title: Internship: Compliance Analytics
Help develop, improve and explore the potential of various IT tooling and processes related to Philips Global compliance methodology.Your role:

  • Be directly involved in shaping the Philips IT landscape for General Business Principle investigation (and beyond), expressing your creativity in problem solving and be involved in driving improvements.
  • During the internship, you are part of the Fraud Investigation team, about 20 colleagues, within Group Legal Compliance. You will work at the head office in Amsterdam.

You will support the Head of Fraud Investigation Information Management in determining the direction of Pro-active monitoring for non-compliance activities using conventional and advance analytics capabilities.

You will be involved in end to end pro-active monitoring data analytics projects execution to support Philips Group Legal Compliance initiative. This includes but not limited to mapping data from source (e.g. SAP/Workday/Sailpoint), designing the platform architecture, fine-tuning the user interface and and testing the result from the platforms.

You will support in the development of Philips integrated investigation platform and related process improvements and you will be given the opportunity to be involved in corporate investigations activities

You're the right fit if:

1. Currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master degree in: Business (International) Management, Business Strategy, Econometric and/or Data Science, and related studies.
2. Highly proficient with MS office regular application e.g. xlsx, pptx and SharePoint, and knowledgeable with MS ‘newer’ applications e.g. PowerBI and Teams. Direct experience (e.g. thesis or subject of study) with data analytic/big data/e-discovery is an added advantage. Knowledge/proficiency in programming languages such as phyton/SqL/Daxx/Javais a significant advantage3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in the English language as mandatory.4. Able to think outside of the box in problem solving, knowledge of LEAN/continuous improvement is a strong asset.

Next to that, we are offering a decent internship package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net.

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop.

IMPORTANT:

Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue online interview recording. We are not able to share the outcome of this HireVue interview but will use this as extra selection criteria.

On the business interview stage you will be asked to prepare a presentation which will be evaluated by the following criteria, in the following order of importance:

1. Content creativity

2. Presentation style

3. Content accuracy

In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled at a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – which needs to be signed by the student and the university.

Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
