Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant with a focus on Accounts Receivable. The specialist is responsible for tracking and resolving payment issues with speed and consistency through excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience who will be a key contributor to the AR and collections process.

Besides the daily routines, there is a strong focus on improving processes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Follow up on, collect and allocate payments
• Carry out collection activities according to the specified deadlines
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments and delayed payments
• Review and report on AR aging to ensure compliance
• Investigate and respond to customer queries through daily collection calls, emails and documentation
• Bank reconciliation of incoming payments
• Ensure an accurate month-end closing with respect to the areas of your responsibility
• Ensure timely communication and follow up with stakeholders
• Actively drive continuous process improvements and innovations
• Perform data checks to ensure the accuracy of our records and keeping specifications and sub-administrations up-to-date at all times in order to be accountable for the reliability of reports

Job requirements

The experience we value:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance / business administration required
• 3+ years experience in a role focussing on dunning & collection
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
• Background in Fintech is a plus
