Job Role and Responsibilities:

The VMware EMEA Inside Sales Co-ordinator is aligned to VMware’s Inside Sales Team and Global Account Manager sales organisations. By building positive relationships both internally and externally, our remit is to improve customer experience and awareness. The intern will develop their communication, organization, and time-management skills as well as strengthen their self-confidence. By working in an office setting, Inside Sales Coordinators learn the basics of business communication and professional conduct. An internship with VMware gives you a competitive advantage that will put your resume far above your peers.

  • Working closely with the Inside Sale Team and clients to assist with the preparation of customer quotations, quotation, general enquires, chasing for updates and PO
  • Liaising with various teams for new report reference the ELA/EA for each client
  • Salesforce: creating reports, opportunities, account clean up and reconciliation - with assistance from Inside Sales Team
  • Reacting to all queries, questions and requirements from sales colleagues to secure incremental revenue.
  • Build historic bookings reports as required at the beginning of a quarter
  • Run rate order tracking – Bi-weekly report on deals booked by account, region and rep
  • Be responsible for collating evaluation license download
  • Making sure that all new leads are processed in a timely manor
  • Ensure the smooth progression of sales from agreement through to completion.
  • Being the central conduit between the sales team and other departments to solve problems and ensure a smooth sales process
  • Supporting the Inside Sales Team to ‘Wow’ the customer – drive contact, feedback, follow on activity and thinking of other ways to stand out from our competitors.
  • Carrying out all other activities when required to support the Inside Sale Team
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the services provided by the department.
  • Seeking an individual with the ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment with a desire to work with others for broader success
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and operate successfully in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and keen to learn the new system
  • Fluency in English is needed for the role, with fluency in French, Spanish or German an advantage
  • The highest level of integrity
  • You will receive VMware on-boarding training

Required Skills

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Business, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Economics or relevant field of study
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to multitask and navigate through ambiguity
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the MS office package.
  • Ability to think creatively, take ownership of tasks and adapt to changing business requirements
  • Motivated self-learner with the passion and follow through to acquire new skills
  • Work well in a global virtual environment that is fast-paced and constantly changing

Preferred Skills:

  • MS Excel, Access, Oracle or related systems and tools skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • Ability working with cross functional teams
  • Enterprise level experience and comfortable with executive-level management interaction
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • French, Spanish or German languages an advantage
