• Period: 6-8 months (minimum of 4 months, summer internships possible)
• Hours a week: 40
• Location: Innovation Powerhouse office of VanBerlo, Eindhoven (combined with Amsterdam ITO office and The Hague)
• Start date : First of each month

The Industry X Innovation Powerhouse in Eindhoven located at our industrial product design and innovation agency VanBerlo whom are part of the Accenture Industry X family. VanBerlo is a world-class, award-winning that strengthens Accenture’s capabilities to help clients benefit from the merging of physical products and digital services into connected products and experiences.

The Innovation Powerhouse is an innovative event location from which we offer clients an opportunity to see new disruptive technologies and product design innovations directly applied on real-life business cases in the world of Research & Development, Product Design & Engineering, Connected Devices, Manufacturing & Operations or Smart Services. As an intern at the Innovation Powerhouse you will become an Industry X consultant and

Teams

• You will either join PES - Product Engineering and Servicing: We partner with clients to imagine and invent their future of their end-to-end Product journey and to design their next-generation R&D or M&O - Manufacturing and Operations: We digitize and optimize and bringing digital transformation at the core of manufacturing.

Daily tasks

• As an intern at the Innovation Powerhouse, you will work in collaboration with Industry X experts to conduct your (thesis) research and assignment in one of the relevant research areas listed below. Your final task will be to create a physical demonstrator on this research topic to showcase it at the office or on a big screen and to provide a clear and comprehensive storyline and Industry X offering behind this topic. As an intern you will support with many types of events that happen in the Innovation Powerhouse, from client visits, internal Accenture events, demo journeys and recruitment or other promotional activities. During your internship you’ll connect with many Industry X colleagues from Accenture and VanBerlo and gain a valuable insight into the world of strategy & consulting. Your work location is at the Eindhoven Innovation Powerhouse where you will be required to be present 3 days a week.

Research

• Your research topics can be in line with one of the following topics: Product Lifecycle Management, Virtual Reality & Metaverse, Sustainability, Food of the Future, Smart & Sustainable buildings, Edge Computing, Digital Health, Product as a Service, or Embedded Technology.

Here's what you'll need

• You are nearing completion of your studies at a Dutch University or HBO and are searching for work experience within the field of Industry X.
• You have a passion for new Technologies and are eager to work on these from either strategic/consulting side or technology/developer side.
• You speak fluent English and/or Dutch (spoken and written).
• You’re interested to start a career in the field of consulting and digital business transformations.
• You are a team player; you are professional and precise.
• You can work independently and have a hands-on proactive mentality.
