Our CFO consulting team consists of different competencies to enable exceptional CFO services addressing the CFO agenda items. One of our competencies specializes in regulatory topics for financial services firms. This team has been at the forefront of events that have reshaped and redefined the financial services industry. We are looking for a driven and ambitious thesis intern to join this exciting and fast growing CFO consulting group. What can you expect – enriching experiences that will last a lifetime

These days the CFOs of financial services firms face an increasingly complex and rapidly changing regulatory environment, in which changes to regulatory guidance can impact business decision-making. As a thesis intern your thesis topic will contribute to the key topics on the CFO agenda, and most importantly:

• As a thesis intern it is your responsibility to carry out independent research
• The team can support you to determine a thesis topic related to topics and regulatory developments impactful to the CFO, such as Basel III finalization, sustainability, IBOR transition, (banking) license applications and adherence to EU prudential & non-prudential legislation, or any related topic: you have the freedom to choose your preferred topic
• You will be assigned a supervisor who will support you in formulating your research question and provide guidance throughout your internship
• In consultation with your supervisor you can participate in projects with clients a number of days, depending on your wishes. You can think of supporting project-based work in a team to advice clients on regulatory topics such as Regulatory reporting, Data driven reporting, Regulatory compliance, Basel III finalization (e.g., CoRep, FinRep, Leverage, Liquidity) and other requirements imposed by European supervising bodies and regulators
• You will gain valuable work experience, work in teams and at the same time working independently; at our EY office, at our clients’ offices and remote.

What you can contribute – skills for shaping the future

• You are in the final phase of completing your Master’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting & Control, Economics, International Business, Law or related field.
• You are legal-savvy, process-driven, policy-minded and people-oriented
• You have an international mindset and are very open to work with different cultures
• You have a strong personality and you know how to get things done
• You are fluent in English, both in verbal and in writing. Dutch is considered beneficial given the landscape of Dutch clients.
