Patagonia is an outdoor apparel company founded in 1973. At a time when all life on earth is under threat of extinction, we aim to use the resources we have—our business, our investments, our voice and our imagination—to influence changes needed to protect our planet. A registered B Corporation and founding member of 1% for the Planet, Patagonia is recognised internationally for its commitment to product quality and environmental activism, contributing over $145 million in grants and in-kind donations to thousands of grassroots environmental groups around the world.

Your role:

We’re in business to save our home planet. You’ll be helping us achieve this by providing accurate and intime accounting support to all inbound and retail related matters: incoming goods from our vendors into our warehouse and all inventory in our 12 stores across Europe. You will work closely with different functions within the organization, such as logistics, retail operations and IT.

Your tasks:

Accounting for all financial transactions on our EMEA inbound process (goods from vendors to the warehouse): transportation, putting stock on shelf, price checks and approvals, etc.

Accounting for all finance related topics for our 12 retail stores in Europe: inventory management, cost management, inventory control, etc.

Contributing to the month end close, interim audit and year end close processes, potentially be point of contact for all supply chain related topics to our auditors.

Maintain, record and reconcile subledgers and ledgers for the inventory accounting within required time frames, e.g. intercompany / standard price cost analysis / inventory in transit / returns / inventory adjustments / retail warehousing / PPV / freight.

Support finance and operations teams in identifying improvement areas.

Ad hoc requests, within the organization and team.

What we’re looking for:

A love of the outdoors

A passion for saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Willingness to learn new SW tools and interest in creating reporting and analysis.

Ability to work under tight schedules.

Flexible attitude & good team player.

Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proactive with a “can do” attitude.

Ability to work on own initiative.

It’s a plus if you also have the following:

Retail, warehousing and inventory accounting experience.
