THE ROLE

At the Project Department of Damen Naval we offer a traineeship Integrated Project Planning for recent graduates or young professionals to discover the field of Project Planning. Our Integrated Project Planners assist Project Directors and Managers in leading projects by providing overviews of the current status as well as giving insight in expected future developments of projects. This all in line with our Damen Naval integrated planning method. This traineeship offers an opportunity to see what Integrated Project Planning all is about and to gain relevant experience in a world class company.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As Trainee Integrated Project Planner you will assist one of the Integrated Project Planners in making sure our next vessel will be delivered on time. Dependant on availability of work, and your preferences, this consist of scheduling activities, verifying plans with suppliers or yards, gathering and processing progress updates, creating and presenting progress reports, or creating workflows and designing layouts of workspaces for maximum efficiency.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

As Trainee Integrated Project Planner you will need to have:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language both written and verbal. Good command of German language is a plus.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or similar planning software is a plus.
• Project management experience and knowledge of Earned Value Management and manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain processes are a plus.
• Excellent antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent multiyear EU citizenship combined with permanent EU work visa are all requirements of the recruitment process for viable candidates, given the military nature of clients and projects.
