Vacancy: Data Science Internship

Digi.Bio is looking for a student or recent graduate with a background in computer science and/or mathematics, who wants to learn about and work at the intersection of engineering, data, and biology. As a member of our R&D team, you will make a large impact on the development of our next-generation product in the field of personalized cancer immunotherapy, a nascent field with a high potential for impact. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the CTO and have the opportunity to work on interesting biological datasets. This internship is open to BSc and MSc students who are enrolled in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related degrees and are looking to do an internship as a part of their degree.

Some of the work that you may be involved in include

  1. Perform statistical analysis
  2. Develop data analysis pipelines for working with imaging datasets using python/Matlab/R
  3. Develop documentation for running these analysis pipelines
  4. Generate reports, present data, and insights

… and if you like dipping your hands in other aspects of the tech we develop once in a while, there’s plenty of nerdy conversations to join as well!

Your academic background is either

BSc/MSc in data science / informatics / AI / statistics / math or similars

Essential Requirements

Experience with

  • Biological datasets
  • Statistics analysis
  • Python/Matlab/R
  • Excel or similars
  • Ability to work with big datasets
  • Mathematical skills
  • Informatic skills (Windows at least)

Additional Desirable Requirements

  • R
  • Image analysis/MV
  • Prior experience with biological datasets (it helps to understand the requests of application development scientists and their expectations)
  • Linux/Bash
