Job Description
Within this position, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• All Direct Bills from previous business day(s) have to be checked, all supporting documents have to be attached, folios and guest checks signed by the guests, charges are in line with contractual agreements before sending out to the customer.
• Monitor aged receivables, chase accounts by telephore or via email. Ensure that necessary information in regard to overdue accounts is shared with relevant departments and follow up on queries and account disputed to ensure payments are settled within agreed credit terms.
• Check open house account and group master balances on a daily basis to ensure that all events are checked out in a timely manner.
• Reconciliation of relevant AR sub-ledger accounts, with the general ledger accounts any variances to be resolved or explained
• Calculate bad debt provision for approval from DOF during month-end. All write-offs reviewed and approved and reason documented
• Organize, prepare and host monthly credit meetings, record and send out minutes afterwards.
• Perform Credit checks based on the requested credit applications forms.
• Travel Agency commissions checked in TACS, verified and approved daily (including non-standard commissions and non-centrally paid commissions).

Supportive Functions
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, to be solely determined by the Assistant Financial Controller or DOF based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Be prepared to work anywhere in the Finance Department as and when business circumstances require this (e.g. vacation coverage, month-end, year-end).

• Participation in internal / external training courses is mandatory.

• Training/coaching of Trainees in liaison with the Assistant Financial Controller/DOF.

• Support during internal and external audits.

• Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using various computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Excel and Word).
