In this role you will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the IT organization in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region (EMEA). You will conduct research on how we can best leverage our communication channels and create a tangible and engaging communications plan, by using data & analytics from colleagues and our communication channels. This will help to ensure that everyone is involved and engaged in the various activities of the IT organization and make our colleagues aware of the news, successes, and learning opportunities available at Medtronic.

A Day in the Life

The Intern will:

• Connect with other communications professionals through the EMEA region to get insights.
• Connect with colleagues to get their insights on our communication channels.
• Analyze the engagement rate of communications.
• Suggest new or updated communication methods to raise engagement amongst our audiences.
• Support the creation and distribution of communications products, such as Town Halls, Q&A sessions, newsletters, websites, podcasts, and short videos

Must Haves

• Currently studying for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Spoken and written proficiency in English
• Communication study focus
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Proficient in MS office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Being able to fit a Hybrid working model (working 2-3 days a week at the office in Heerlen)

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of or experience in Adobe Creative Cloud
• Knowledge of or experience in Oracle Eloqua
• Knowledge of or experience in website design and/or SharePoint
• Knowledge of or experience in visual communication design
• IT or medical technology interest
• Knowledge or experience with social media presence management, campaigns, and/or analytics
