The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
You will partner with our Division and Area teams to assess, design and prioritize learning projects, aligned to global strategy and go-to-market models. You will serve as a crucial link between global, area and division teams across the organization, translating business needs into scalable, globally aligned learning solutions. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Partnering with internal teams through all (ADDIE) phases of new learning projects (including on-demand, virtual and instructor-led courses, webinars, videos, and online documents); prioritizing and coordinating work efforts, as well as communicating plans and progress to area, division and global teams.
- Designing a reusable portfolio of common 3M learning solutions and templates for efficiencies and best practice, for delivery of learning that is best-in-class, evolving with customer expectations.
- Defining and implementing input requirements, workflow processes, as well as associated quality assurance standards for learning content, owning definitions of both “good” and “done” for all published content.
- Mapping curriculum and managing published content assets and repositories, maintaining global and area version and lifecycle maintenance of courses.
- Actively monitors external and internal learning trends to shape global customer education strategy. In turn, educates and guides division and area teams on the application of global strategy, sharing best practices and methodology.
- Serve as a liaison to SIBG’s Marketing Technology group, to ensure selection and deployment of customer education related marketing technologies are meeting learner needs.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of experience in customer education management for global organizations in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong foundation in adult learning concepts, objectives-based instructional approaches, online learning.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, both for projects and working with project teams discussing and negotiating deliverables.
- Expert-level instructional development skills, with significant experience creating a wide variety of high-quality products, including most of the following areas:
- Interactive courses using Articulate 360
- Production of professional audio, voiceovers, graphics and video;
- Other forms of virtual and live training materials, including: student and facilitator materials, web/html content, simulations, guides, quick references, slicks, manuals, online help and other digital resources
- Expert-level familiarity with LMS platforms and industry standard development tools including: Adobe Suite (Graphic Design, Video, UI/UX), Articulate 360, Microsoft Office
- Experience leading global projects and teams within a Center of Excellence
- Ability to manage, coach, develop and lead others.
