Our EMEA Brand Support Center in Hoofddorp is looking for an Accountant
This is an exciting position in which you can develop yourself in several areas of financial control. The position is part of a team responsible for global accounting and statutory compliance of Crocs entities. This includes maintaining an accurate and timely accounting system which includes a comprehensive set of internal controls, preparing periodic financial reports, supporting financial statements audit, and supporting the business by providing reliable financial data. Besides, this role will be involved in payroll transactions, support the payrolling of around 650 employees at Crocs Europe, while ensure payroll accounting is done correctly and timely in both financial and payroll system.
What will you do?
Accounting and control:
- Point of contact for both internal and external payroll related items.
- Reconciling various payroll accounts, uploading salary entries and monitoring the payroll declarations to various tax authorities.
- Monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures
- Journal entry preparation and review
- Reconciliation of sub ledgers and general ledger accounts
- Ensure that all transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Ensure that at period-end all assets and liabilities are recorded accurately
- Continuously drive improvements to optimize processes & support process improvement including recommendations for training and updates to procedures
Compliance:
- Payroll account reconciliations.
- Ensure key controls are respected and the SOX requirements are met.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with global requirements and local laws.
Reporting:
- Preparation of monthly variance analysis including correlation to operational results and interaction with operational business units
- Preparation of audit documentation, account analysis, annual financial statements and related statutory reports for both US GAAP and local statutory requirement to support timely completion of audits
Collaboration:
- Liaise with corporate and global accounting teams
- Collaborate with shared service partners and other third-party business support partners
- Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and Supply Chain teams
- Identify process improvements to existing processes and advise the manager on opportunities to gain higher efficiency, effectiveness and ensure a higher level of (local) compliance
Who are you?
Minimum Education:
- HBO education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Business Administration
Minimum Experience:
- 2-4 years in a relevant field for accounting or payroll
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
- Experience with EMEA payroll process
- Experienced in use of Microsoft Excel
- Establishes priorities, plans, and organizes well, solution-oriented
- Strong communication skills; ability to effectively interact with all types of individuals, both internally and externally
