What will you be doing?

As the manager of the Monitoring and Incident Response team, candidates would be responsible for operating and monitoring critical security systems to uphold a strong security posture. This is a role that will require extensive engagement across technical and business teams in order to drive security best practices.

  • Oversee the security operations and incident response team.
  • Respond to and manage escalated incidents, identifying the cause and initiating the IR process.
  • Develop and drive security strategy across InfoSec and wider business.
  • Work hand-in-hand with risk teams to ensure an accurate risk register is maintained.
  • Build strong relationships across Funding Circle, being an advocate of security best practices.
  • Assess and monitor our company security posture to mitigate emerging threats.
  • Support employee-related investigations and provide incident management expertise for non-technical teams.
  • Subject matter expert on security tooling, use cases, capabilities and limitations.
  • Manage the on-call rota for the security operations team and manage any identified incidents.

Are You?

  • SecOps Professional - In-depth technical knowledge of security operations, incident response life cycle, and threat actor TTPs.
  • Incident Responder - Extensive experience managing major incidents and facilitating lessons learned workshops.
  • Communicator - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborator - Engage and problem solve with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Leader - Foster a culture of curiosity and growth within the security organisation.
  • Agile - Able to change tasks and projects on a regular basis and work with a variety of teams.
  • Autonomous - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and produce a high level of quality in documentation and product.
  • Cloud proficient - Previous experience working with security tooling in cloud environments, notably AWS.
